Not just any Civic Type R, this is the Limited Edition #53 OF 600. Only available in Phoenix Yellow, the Limited Edition Type R is the lightest of the CTR's that were available, and it did this by including a set of super light BBS wheels, removing some sound deadening, the rear heat ducts, rear wiper, and tonneau cover. After the car went on a diet, the steering and suspension dampeners were retuned, and a set of Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires were fitted.
All of these changes helped Honda reclaim the front wheel drive lap record at Suzuka, making it one of the hottest hot hatches of all time. With clean low mileage examples of the Phoenix Yellow DC2 Integra Type R going for over $100,000, this car will surely be a great collectors item or an exhilarating daily driver.
