Not just any Civic Type R, this is the Limited Edition #53 OF 600. Only available in Phoenix Yellow, the Limited Edition Type R is the lightest of the CTR's that were available, and it did this by including a set of super light BBS wheels, removing some sound deadening, the rear heat ducts, rear wiper, and tonneau cover. After the car went on a diet, the steering and suspension dampeners were retuned, and a set of Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires were fitted.
All of these changes helped Honda reclaim the front wheel drive lap record at Suzuka, making it one of the hottest hot hatches of all time.
