In Episode 3 of the McLaren Tech Club series, Design Director, Rob Melville, talks through the cutting-edge design of the new 765LT.
This is a car that’s all about the extreme. Based on the incredible 720S, it delivers on every level.
In this film, Rob Melville gives an insight into the aggressive design language and aerodynamic innovation that delivers 25% more downforce than the 720S. And with an increase in power to a shattering 765PS, he describes this as the ultimate LT driving experience.
Rob goes on to explore some of the key design features of the car which include the optional louvres which allow the high pressure which builds up inside the wheel well to exit through the top, minimising the impact of turbulent air. And the polycarbonate rear screen and C-Pillars which not only reduce weight, but also provide the driver with the same 360° field of view as the 720S.
Everything on this car is here for a reason. Following this renowned McLaren design philosophy, the 765LT is pure, purposeful and utterly focused around the driver.
